Donation of 20 kg of Genmai to a Children’s Cafeteria
As part of our business group’s SDGs activities, we have developed programs for group members to take part in farming and harvesting activities. By doing this, we can promote the effective use of natural resources involved in local food production and consumption, while experiencing the joy of growing and eating the fruits of our labors. The 2024 rice crop yielded 200 kg of rice, of which 20 kg of genmai was donated to Nakaniwa Children’s Cafeteria.
*In Japan, “children’s cafeterias” are cafeterias run by volunteers and local people to provide free meals to children in a safe and welcoming space. These cafeterias provide nutritious, well-balanced meals and warm support to children of families experiencing economic hardship.
Distribution of Drawing Activity Books
In order to make the best use of our discontinued paper inventory without disposing of it as business waste, 50 to 300 A4 size 100-page drawing activity books are printed and bound at our Hamamatsu Printing Center each month. Each year, we donate approximately 8,000 of these books to neighboring municipalities and organizations.
International Exchange
We actively pursue international exchange that transcends language and nationality. As a supporting member of HICE (Hamamatsu Foundation for International Communication and Exchange), our goal is to contribute to the foundation of a global society in which people can live happily and safely through mutual understanding of cultures and customs.
